We are delighted to bring this event back!  We have teamed up with Moe from SLC Bus Tours - you may recognize him from Moe's Local Food Tours where he highlights some of the best SLC eats.  He's going to use his expert knowledge of Salt Lake City (and a bit of his whit and charm) to guide us through the BEST light displays for the holiday season!

We will board a large, enclosed double decker bus and head into the city at 4pm Tuesday.  Tour highlights include: Downtown Salt Lake City, Temple Square, The Utah State Capitol and Grand America Hotel.  You'll 'ooh' and 'ahh' and pick up a few facts you may not have known about our city!

Following the tour we will return to the Hammer & Stain studio.  We estimate a return time of about 9pm, but exact times will vary based on traffic and other factors.

Please note: Most of the seating is in the upper deck of the bus and is accessed by a flight of stairs.  We will list tickets for main floor and upper deck seating separately so everyone gets their preferred spot.  If you are wanting to sit with a family or group, please ensure you all reserve the same level tickets.  Seating on each level is first come first served.

The SLC light tour is priced at $48, but when you add in the transportation to/from Tooele, the restaurant discounts and the Hammer & Stain voucher - this is quite the deal!  Plus we have a few special surprises in store for you to brighten your holiday season!

Join us on your own or with family and friends - but either way you don't have to worry about city driving and paying for parking and you still get to experience some of the beauty and charm of the season!  All ages invited.  Children under 2 can ride on a lap but all other guests require their own ticket.

Please note: no refunds or cancellations within 2 weeks of the event.  Cancellation prior to 2 weeks of the event are subject to a 20% processing fee.

The bulk of the tour will be on the bus but there are scheduled stops, such as the Grand America Hotel, where you may get out, stretch your legs, and take in the beautiful displays.

How to Register

  2. If applicable include any relevant personal information needed to complete your stencil such as name or date.
  3. Confirm and Agree to our policies and terms.

Cancellation Policy

Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production of your personalized stencil. If you would like to cancel your reservation, you must give a minimum of 48 hour notice.

Please note a restocking fee of 30% of the total amount of the workshop will be deducted from your refund. Same day cancellations or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellations will be processed on the day we receive your cancellation request. It may take up to 2 weeks for the refund to return to the account you used to purchase your items.

Hammer & Stain reserves the right to make any amendments to this policy at any time. Notification of any changes will be published on this page. If you have any inquiries regarding cancellations or any of our other policies please contact us.

Guest Policy

Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, unregistered
guests are not permitted to attend any workshop, whether it is a public
workshop or private party. Bringing an unregistered guest will result in the guest being asked to leave as this interferes with the attention and experience of our registered makers. Makers can inquire about purchasing a guest seat but the request will be subject to
approval.

Wood

This is a natural wood workshop, so your sign will have random cracks,
chips, knots and other natural blemishes that give it character! Some peeling may occur. We will do our very best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional, but due to the nature of the workshop we can make no guarantees. Please keep in mind, no sign is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted, but it will certainly be wall worthy!
